| - My 2 year old has been going here for 9 months and the school has recently undergone some major changes in the process of becoming an "authentic Montessori" school. The transition definitely came with some rough patches, most notably a fair amount of teacher turnover. My son has blossomed here, academically; I see his improvement in language, fine motor skills, and general academic curiosity. The teachers and administration struggle with giving constructive, consistent feedback on age appropriate behaviors, and can come across condescending and defensive rather than cooperative. I requested a meeting to collaborate on a plan to support my son, and although I sent a reminder email regarding my request, I was never contacted to set up a meeting. I have been frustrated with the short notice of school closures - one month notice of a week-long closure; 2 week notice of a one-day closure - which has continued up until recently, although as far as I know, the annual school calendar has been released.
Overall, the teachers are great, the academics are great, the facilities are over the top wonderful - the administration is still working on getting itself organized, and age-appropriate behaviors (scratching, biting, pushing) are sometimes dealt with in a blaming rather than supportive fashion.
