This was my second time using Advanced Orthopedics. The first time was three years ago when I had an excruciatingly painful stress fracture in my lower tibia from trail running. It didn't show up on the initial XRay but Dr Yee requested an MRI and PT in the meantime. Unfortunately, insurance required preapproval for an MRI. By the time it was approved and the results came back, 3 weeks had passed and my fractured had begun to heal. He apologized about the dx taking so long and said that had he gotten it sooner, I would've been put in a cast. I thought he was very thorough.
Last week I called for an appt because I'd been having extreme elbow pain (which I figured was tennis elbow). I received an appointment within three days. The staff in front were attentive and courteous and I was seen within 10 minutes upon arriving by Dr. Liu. He had x-rays taken and diagnosed tennis elbow (which I agreed with). He explained the injury and went over treatment steps and expected outcomes. He suggested my course of treatment be steroid shots (what I was hoping for). His PA Megan performed the procedure painlessly, smoothly, and successfully. My pain has since subsided and I can go without wearing an elbow brace. I've been in emergency medicine for 17 years and I tend to be critical when I receive subpar care but Dr Lui and his staff were excellent caregivers. I expected compassionate and professional care and I was not disappointed.
