Our beloved mini-schnauzer died a few days after being bitten during day care at All About Dogs. She barked at another dog and was bitten at 11 in the morning. AAD did not notify us of the bite and didn't even say anything when my husband picked her up in the evening after work. He had to ask THEM what had happened to her head. Dogs are dogs. Incidents happen - we understand that. But the mark of a good business is how they handle an adverse situation. AAD never took accountability, blamed Coco as the "antagonist" (blame the victim, anyone??) and they sternly severed their relationship with us (as if we would ever entrust a dog to them again) when my husband became upset. Our dog was in such pain, she quit eating and drinking. The emergency vet tried everything during her hospitalization, but an underlying kidney condition (previously manageable with medication) kicked into high gear, her kidneys shut down, and she died. I hope AAD has looked at their policies and changed them, but we've seen nothing to indicate that.
