While walking around downtown Toronto with a few friends, we were approached by a person from Cake who gave us street passes for free admission for girls and cheaper drinks. Convinced, we headed to Cake to check it out. However, when we arrived, the bouncer refused to accept my CT, USA license as a valid ID, insisting that it was a fake. I was obviously taken aback and asked for an explanation. The bouncer began explaining, but then made a comment that I wasn't even listening, insinuating that I was too drunk to understand even though I had only had a single drink at this time. I don't know whether I was profiled for looking young (baby face even though I'm 22) or what, but my group was rudely treated and wrongly accused. We won't be returning again.
