| - DON'T TRUST ALL THE BAD REVIEWS !! Our LG dryer started making noise, so we called our home warranty company (Old Republic). They assigned Vector to us and when we looked at all the bad Yelp reviews, were a bit concerned about this. Service tech showed up within our 2 hour appointment window, was professional, and got to work immediately. He took the dryer apart in 5 min and found the problem quickly (bad roller). He had the part on his truck, installed it, and fixed our unit within the next 10-15 min. Even asked for a vacuum to clean up inside the dryer (bits of rubber from the roller that were breaking off when it became mis-alligned). I asked what the charge would have been if we weren't on the home warranty and his response was $80-85 for the service call + cost of part (no additional labor since it was a very simple/fast install). WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?
Yes, our technician spoke with an accent - so what? He was very professional, easy to understand, and did what he was called upon to do. No, there wasn't a big enough problem with my unit for the warranty company to buy me a new dryer, but why should they when it's can be repaired and fixed quickly and economically? I suppose if we needed a different part that had to be ordered from the manufacturer that would take a few weeks to get, it would have been frustrating (going to a laundrymat until the part comes in), but that inconvenience would not have been caused by Vector.
I will certainly call or ask for these guys again if I have issues with other appliances in our new home (with or without warranty coverage).
