  • I have been here a few times, mainly to try unique movement classes that are hard to find elsewhere, like bodyART (with Garnet) and essentrics (with Katelyn). These types of classes will appeal to yoga/pilates practitioners and dancers, as they are low impact, flow-y, and coordinate movement with breath. This is not the place for "bootcamp", high-intensity sweaty workouts, but rather a place for feeling good during your workout (you can get your cardio in on another day). This aligns with my general philosophy on exercise (as opposed to punishing the body, or a "no pain, no gain" mentality). The fun approach is reflected in the class names, like Get Lifted, Get Playfit, Get Lit, Get Cheeky, etc. They do offer yoga, mat pilates, and reformer classes here as well. This is definitely the most hipster fitness studio I've come across in the city. Careful attention is paid to the design and branding of the space. Just take a look at the B&W photos on their instagram to see. The location in an old church, with beautiful windows, is stunning, and the west queen west location reflects the youthful and creative vibe. You might feel a little out of place if you don't have lots of tattoos and trendy athleisure duds. That being said, the place has a welcoming atmosphere and isn't too intimidating for newbies. On my first class, I was a little lost between all the equipment (mat, weighted balls, etc.) but another student quickly helped me figure out what I need. Other details: - Pricing on par with other boutique fitness studios. They are also on classpass. - No showers. Unisex bathroom across the hall. - No actual change room, but there are individual curtained off change stalls available (like you're in a store). - Sometimes it gets kind of humid and sticky in here. I think it's just an old building with poor ventilation. - They sell juices and occasionally some food items from The Goods. They also sell misfit gear like candles, totes, and tanks.
