Ok we usually are not disappointed when we visit Ventano's. Tonite they were off their game. The $40 prime rib left a lot to be desired for the price. It came with either Caesar or wedge salad, corn on the cob, baked potato and shrimp. Prime rib covered in gravy (au jus maybe.. Not gravy please), corn was not sweet so sent it back but it was still old and flavorless, potato ok. Now for $40 bucks you'd think at least jumbo shrimp. These may have been before they were cooked down to a shrunken over done, dry, swimming in gravy sz 40. The service was still on point. All servers were very pleasant and accommodating. My daughter liked her side of risotto. (They could have made it smaller since it was a side) and less pricey. And, the shrimp on the stone was as tasty as ever. We'll return but next time will ask more question..$..presentation.. Temp on the shrimp.
