rev:text	Dinner last night at Cafe Boulud was spectacular, from the amazing Rotisserie Chicken which was cooked on a Rotisserie imported from France, to the spectacular and delicious Baked Alaska and the Grand Marnier Souffle. The staff were incredible as always. The hotel itself is beautiful but I find the lobby rather dark and cold and it always makes me worried about the hotel cleaning staff when I look at that "curtain" artwork which stretches up 30 feet tall and looks like a huge dust collector. How many hours a week do they spend on ladders dusting ? While everyone else is asleep? The flowers as usual were stunning (Im a gardener) and I was even able to meet the florist while he was creating his incredible arrangements, that was fun, we even have an acquaintance in common (the famous Jeff Leatham from the Four Seasons in Paris, the Georges V) http://www.dmagazine.com/publications/d-home/2005/may-june/fun-with-celebrity-floral-designer-jeff-leatham There was a lovely Maserati and a Bentley sitting outside at the Valet but usually I like to see an even bigger collection of luxury vehicles in front (Im a car fanatic.) Im SOOOOOOO glad all that VOMIT ON CANVASES "art work" by the piece of crap copycat Mr Brainwash is FINALLY OFF THE WALLS !!! Now they have understated and bland brownish boring-ness on the walls but its STILL miles better than all that crap. If you dont understand what Im talking about and havent seen the documentary Exit Through the Giftshop, just google Mr Brainwash and you will see his pathetic attempts to rip off Warhol and Banksy and you will understand my point of view. I mentioned my thanks to our waiter that all that "art" was gone (the last time I ate there I purposely kept my very large brimmed hat pulled down all the way over my eyes as I was getting assaulted and distracted from my food) and the waiter said "I have YET to hear a single person disagreeing with you about that." Personally I love Rosie Sharp as a PERSON but I just DONT get her sense of style. Why would she ever choose to decorate the flagship like that, I have no idea, Im just glad its gone.
