In some ways this is your typical Staples store. Same products, same pricing, same layout. But definately not the same service.
I dropped in to buy a one subject notebook for work. I found the notepads and paper pretty quickly and was up to the register in no time. Unfortunately there were 3 people in line in front of me, the gal at the front of the line had no idea what she was doing, and it was holding up the line. Okay, so I'd say that's not the store's fault. What bothered me however was that there was one person at the service desk next to us on the phone, and three other employees within 10 yards who were standing around chatting - none of them rushing to the registers to help get the line moving.
The guy at the service counter finally gets off the phone, it's obvious he's a manager at this point, he walks to the next register but instead of opening it he starts organizing flyers. What should have been about a 3 minute wait to check out turned into almost 15. I was so annoyed I would have left 10 minutes prior had I not needed the dang notebook so much!
I'm glad this is not my local office supply store. I won't be back.
