| - We joined a couple of friends here for dinner and it was a very inconsistent experience.
The food itself was good, the location is beautiful (we sat outdoors), the weather was gorgeous, and service was good, until our friend had an issue with his main dish and the server was totally 'blah' when it was brought to his attention... No apology, not an offer to replace it, not even a serious acknowledgement... As if he thought "if I don't acknowledge this, then it is not really happening". It is not enough to have a great location, there is an expectation of extraordinary experience (food and service) for this type of place/prices.
As a side note, the desserts were tiny... microscopic almost : P
Oh, and they really earned my wrath when I missed on a credit card reward/bonus because the charge showed on my credit card as hotel gift shop, instead of food and beverage. That kind of 'discrepancy' could cost somebody their marriage : P
Overall, I expected way more.
