| - Food: Options are plenty- from burritos to grilled cheese sandwiches to hot dogs to creme brulee & more. And they are all tasty, especially when you consider that they are prepared in a truck where people are pumping out mass quantities of what is being ordered. But be prepared to wait. And wait. And depending what you ordered, wait some more. Some trucks have longer lines than others. You might genuinely wait 20 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich. I don't care how popular it is- that's a long time to wait for "quick service food."
Prices: decent- about average to expensive for lunch depending on what you order. I think most often I get my lunch & a drink for around $10.
Parking: It's downtown Phx and close to ASU. Parking options are slim and range from a lot next to the trucks to metered parking. It's on Pierce & Central Ave- the latter of which only goes one way- north. Plan extra time for parking, plan your route, bring change for meters and carpool whenever you can.
Seating: A nightmare. There's no other way to describe this. The tables are dirty because no one buses them and people don't clean up after themselves. Also, there's about 800 people and seating enough for 75. People fight over empty seats, hover over people who are eating, and some people who are just jerks and occupy their seats long after they've finished lunch even though they can see people waiting to sit down to eat. Frustrating.
Bottom line: It's fun, it's trendy, but it's not for everyone and even then not for every week. If you're planning on going, go EARLY. Be prepared to wait. And lower expectations. This food is good- but it's from a truck. As good as it is, it's not gourmet.
