| - He's an arrogant jerk. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you want to be on a lifetime of diabetic medication. I swear you see a cardiologist for heart issues, not a diabetic drug pusher.
I went with my BF to see him because I was concerned with him being on 3 different type 2 diabetic meds, one being some injection! He has never ever been on diabetic meds to have any problems suggesting he does. He was out on these meds WITHOUT testing his A1C. First thing he says is that he didn't have time to explain the drugs, that I need to go home and self educate, 40% of people will get type 2 diabetes and if he wants to avoid that, he needs to be on these meds FOR LIFE. FOR LIFE!!! FOREVERRRRRR. And if he doesn't want to take the meds, he doesn't need to see him as a patient anymore. If he gets a second opinion, every other doctor in this town will tell him he doesn't need the meds, to stop them all and if he does, he will 100% get diabetes. He is very sketchy and his bedside manner gets an F. I've worked with doctors my entire career in healthcare and have never been treated with such disrespect like I did today. He is the kind of Doctor Who is worst in the street drug dealers, forcing a nondiabetic to take many medications, only to potentially ruined his pancreas, so it will not produce insulin on its own anymore and he truly will be stuck on these medications for life, meds that Dr Miranda is a "consultant" for and gets paid to do so. He made my boyfriend think that he had type 2 diabetes and instilled fear in him so he would take these medications until I asked professional nurses and REAL doctors for their unpaid opinions.
The only thing he told the truth about was that every other doctor would tell my BF not to take these meds. Be cautions and educate yourself! You are your own advocate.
