  • Food provided nourishment but the experience left something to be desired. We had gone to this place for years because of business on this end of town. The food was always good but the service was nothing to brag about. We no longer come to this side of town, so never returned. However, we found ourselves unexpectedly here and the service once again fell short. I asked for no ranch on my dinner, it took three attempts to get it right. Our server disappeared for at least 15 minutes while I sat with an empty beer and watched my wife eat her dinner. My wife finished and I still had no plate. At this point, I'm ready to leave. I approached the hostess to find out what happened to our server. Guess what, my food all of the sudden showed up. I asked for the manager, our server said no problem. The manager did not show up but our server came back offering 5% off the bill. I just found it offensive. Just acknowledge instead of pretending someone shouldn't be unhappy. I go out to dinner for an experience, not annoyance. It's been my experience that this restaurant is never packed, just every other table. Just an average experience where you have to voice dissatisfaction if you have it because it's not presumed when it's a gross shortfall. Most people hate complaining, why make them. I wished I never said anything and just moved on. McDonalds was just across the street. It's not the first time an order has been screwed up, eat out enough it's gonna happen. Generally not a big deal, crap happens, there's just better ways to handle it. Like "I'm sorry."
