Try returning a bad battery. HD batteries are supposed to be high quality. But get a bad one and you'll end up waiting 2 hours for their tester to verify it before they'll honor the warranty. (Which is silly since a 12ah battery can be fully charged in 20 minutes).
Brought in a 4 month old battery that wouldn't hold a charge - using the HD tender and a standard 12v 6a charger. The battery case states 12 month replacement if defective. I have a couple of bikes and am pretty familiar with how motorcycle batteries work. So this should be easy.
No chance. The store was not remotely busy. The manager hid in his office. The parts guys tried but wouldn't actually do anything to take care of the customer.
Finally the battery test came back inconclusive. Had I not waited for 2 hours I doubt they'd have covered it since their test showed the battery as good (though it was smoking hot after 2 hours on the charger).
This is why we shop online guys. Batteries are usually the exception, but I'm reconsidering.
