When this first reopened as the Cromwell I must have been one of the first patrons there during their soft opening. This is a fancy, beautiful place and you feel as if you are not lost in the crowds as with some of the big mega resorts that have thousands of rooms... not here there are hundreds of rooms.
With the huge addition on the roof for the pool deck this place now has it all. If you want street views and excitement get a strip view room but be warned they can be loud with Bally's across the street. They had a loud sign and Bellagio has water shows that use powerful and loud water jets... sounds like small cannons going off. If you don't need a view face toward Flamingo and you might sleep more easily and save a few bucks.
Minus one star for all the noise and windows that are not sound proof - that part still feels like the previous Barbary Coast or Bills. I love the bathroom windows and would never touch them but the main windows could be better.
Refreshing is the short walk from parking garage to registration to hotel elevators. Shockingly short and convenient. Save 15 minutes every day compared to walking through Rio or Flamingo's maze of a hotel.
