| - I would like to begin with the fact that I am not only a vehicle owner, but a member of a family who owns an automotive repair shop with a long history in the valley. My family has hired David Hensley on multiple occasions to do minor paint repairs for our customer's vehicles. In the past we were pleased with his work and recently chose to hire David for a minor touch up on my 1967 Barracuda.
David came to our shop to do the work as he normally does when we work with him. He seemed to be intoxicated when he arrived this time. My husband allowed him to do the work even though it seemed he had a drink or two, it was really a very minor repair and should have been quick and easy.
We have video cameras in the shop area and David can be seen on video not properly prepping the area before painting. After the painting was complete David Hensley was paid $200.00 for this very small repair (twice as much as we normally pay him, AND we supplied the paint). David quickly ran to the bank and cashed his check, before we had ample time to look at this work.
Once David had left, we inspected his work and saw that the paint had not covered, and had shrunk away from the surface it was applied too. We contacted David right away and asked if he would come back by and take a look, and re-shoot it as needed. Initially David said he would stop by the following day. When we did not see him, we called again, and were told he was really busy (not too busy to cash our check), but he'd try to make it by the next day or so. This brush off continued for over a week, until the day he told us to "F*#K Off!"
Oh, yes...that's right this man actually told us to "F*#K Off" and has refused to fix his work. Not only that but he has refused to even come and look at his work and see what we are talking about. We were absolutely flabbergasted! I mean really, think about it, we not only paid him to "fix" the paint on my own car, but have supplied this man with numerous other jobs and referrals.
I have a recording of the phone call if anyone would like to hear it, I will happily email it if requested, I would love to attach it here if I could. I have shared it with David Hensley of All Colors so he could hear himself speaking to customers. I would also like to point your attention to the other review that was left for this person. Unfortunately, the other review did not get prominent placement here on Yelp, but the story seems really familiar, I guess he tells a lot of customers to "F*#k Off."
There are many other credible touch up guys in town, save yourself the abuse and AVOID this one.
