I picked one star because I couldn't pick none.
I wished I had seen reviews before allowing them into my house, but I got sucked in my the sales pitch at the home show.
I set the appointment for an at home consult. I was looking for porcelain tile that looked like wood floor in a 12 by 10 living room. The rep came to the door jittery like a crack head. He tells me not to worry he's a southern gentleman and launches junto a speech about carpeting and how stuff you buy from other dealers is inferior. When I can get a word in, I tell him it's all well and good but I'm looking for tile. He interrupts the conversation to answer his phone to tell his buddy that he's working today.
He sets his Starbucks cup down (which he left on my entertainment center by the way) and continues with his pitch until he finally steps out to get samples. Something on the television reminds him of a movie and he asks if I had seen the movie and launches into this movie quote in a strange voice saying, "f$&@ that sh$t, man." I was stunned that he'd use expletives in my house.
He brings in three samples and then has to run back out to get a more expensive sample because he thinks that I'm worth the expense. He's talking more than he's listening. At this point he asks me where I'm from. I tell him NJ to which he replies that he's from the northeast too (I thought he was a southern gentleman?). he starts manipulating this iPad for the estimate but clearly doesn't know how to use the thing
He gives me an outlandish estimate. I mention the $400 dollars coupon from the home show and their home show price guarantee. He tells me that coupon isn't good because he already provided such a deep discount. When I don't immediately jump at the estimate which he refuses to write down, he starts making calls to try to see if he can lower the price. Then he asks what I'm willing to pay. In all honesty, given his behavior, I would have never hired this company, but I tell him that I was just looking for an estimate. He gets angry and can't believe that I do not take this serious enough to do my home work. He proceeds to berate me and wants to call the person who booked the estimate because he can't believe that I wasn't told to do my homework before they showed up. He attempts to get someone on the phone who does not answer.
Finally I tell him that we are done. He leaves forgetting his keys.
This representative and this company are train wrecks.
