  • This is by far the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a service department. An experience I would not even wish my worse enemy to go through. A couple of months ago I started to experience the misfire on my car, the engine light went on and the car was not performing well. I took my car to the dealership for the first time, paid a diagnose with them and they came up with a couple of reasons on why the car was having that misfire. So, what I did I took my car to another shop, in order to save some money, that shop did the exact same things the dealership mentioned on the diagnose documents to fix the misfire. After that my car performed well for about two weeks, then same thing happen. Engine light went on, stating the same misfire, and my car started performing poorly again. I was experiencing the same initial problems. Frustrated about this, I decided to just not be cheap and to just go with the safe option which was to take it to the dealer and let the "experts" handle this. So I once again go and take my car to the same place, Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Scottsdale, and told them that I was still experiencing the misfire and that I just wanted to get this over and get it fix. So they made me a whole new diagnosed, by the way all these diagnosed are 200 dollars each, and now they came up with a new problem that was causing the misfire. This was initially going to cost me around 700 dollars in total. When they started working on the engine, they found other issues that apparently had to be done! To finalize this I ended up paying around 2,500 dollars, and that is not even the worse part of this story. I go and pick up my car had it for two three days and once again engine light goes on, and still I am experiencing the exact same problems as before. I go and take it to the dealership again, and now they are saying that in order to fix this it is going to cost me an additional 3,500. I told them that this crazy for a number of reasons. First, I initially took my car to them to get that misfire taken care off, and I was told that it would be done and even was given a warranty for two years. The dealership do not want to honor this warranty they are coming up with the excuse that because the other shop who had work on my car did not put the original pieces from the dealership. I told them that this is total BS, I took the car and clearly explained that I wanted that misfire fixed. That was the only reason I went to them to get that misfire fixed and now I am $2500 down and still experiencing the exact same issue. I also explained that this misfire has been happening even before I had those parts replaced elsewhere. It has been clear since the first time I took my car that all I wanted was to get that misfire fixed, as a normal customer would do I trusted the advise that was given to me and trusted them that they will take care of this issue. Clearly this did not happen. Now I am $2500 down, which by the way I am still paying off, and experiencing the exact same issues. This is so frustrating and so disappointing. One looks up to the dealership service departments and place there entire trust on them, it is so disappointing to go through this experience that you do all that your are being told pay a huge amount of money and still get these results. One will think that they would at least take responsibility for what they did but unfortunately this was not the case with Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Scottsdale. I will never be coming back to this dealership and I will absolutely tell everyone I know who lives within this area to do not trust these people. I was left with a horrible image of them, a bunch of thief who are not to be trusted!
