THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS. READ CAREFULLY
First I am not a dumb person. I drive a well maintained 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Heard some issues with the brakes and it's time to fix them. Went to the dealership, Hyundai and had a complementary inspection and quote. The obvious repair was needed. New pads and resurfaced rotors. Mind you the rotors were still within HYUNDAIS SPECIFICATIONS and could be resurfaced.
So I did what any reasonable consumer would do. I went price shopping. First stop was groupon. I found Royalty complete auto repair with 4 locations and a groupon for ROTAR RESURFACING, PADS, AND INSTALLATION FOR $92 FOR THE FRONTS. Great deal. Bought the groupon and went to Royalty.
Once there I spoke to a Hispanic male, with tattoos on his arms and a thin chin strap mustache and short hair. First thing out of his mouth was that the groupon wasn't good for all cars. I am like what; it's a standard size car with standard parts. Not an SUV or Truck. He recommended that I do a free inspection. Once on the rack he told me that all 4 rotors were bad and couldn't be resurfaced and pads were bad as well. He wanted $75-90 for each rotary, refused to resurface and honor the groupon price. He wanted $330 more plus fees.
Are you kidding me? The dealership fully documented what needed to be done and I personally saw the rotors with the tires off. These guys are hack scam artist who think their customers are done. BUYER BEWARE.
