| - You know what? I really, really want to have an enjoyable experience at AMC. I really do. I love the seats, I love the soda machine, I love all of that for such a low price. What I'm not loving, and have now experienced in 2 different AMC theaters is lack of capable staff and the theater itself being calibrated to blast audio right in your face. For some reason, when the theater is too loud it triggers my anxiety and I've actually had panic attacks where I've left the theater embarrassed, in tears. I've been to iPic plenty of times and its always a reasonable volume and I've gladly paid $25 a ticket. So I go to Mesa Grand, first, there is no one at the ticket counter/guest services. There are other patrons, no management, no staff. We get our stuff and go to the theater. It is DT Scottsdale club loud. My husband gets up to find a manager to see what we can do. After 10 min, I get up to. We can hear our theater from the concession counter and it is down the hall (theater 9 to be exact). After 15 min have gone by, I have to call the theater and ask for someone to meet me at guest services for a refund. Because now I'm pissed and don't want to see a movie.
Here is a tip for AMC- the reviews our clear that we love the renovations. Love. There are systemic issues with management and employees that needs to be addressed. You know what? I'd gladly pay $15 a ticket if it meant there would be well-trained visible employees and to not have such ear shattering volumes.
I'd also recommend either better, less salty popcorn, or better alternatives. I'm not saying serve me dinner, I know Esplanade does that, but maybe upgrade some of the items you currently have.
Please step it up AMC. I literally have to pass multiple Harkins to get to either of your theaters closest to me, so I really mean it when I say I want to have an enjoyable experience.
