Meh, I expected more. We went for Sunday morning brunch (they'll tell you it's reservation-only, but there's actually a lot of "first-come, first-serve" seating by the bar). I had heard good things about their brunch but thought it wasn't anything outstanding.
I was impressed with the range of buffet options - from freshly sliced prime rib to a bakery bar to several pre-made salads. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was just not as high as anticipated. According to the fella, the meats were not very good, I thought the eggs were dry, and many of the other hot dishes were just standard.
The real highlight at Georges is with the baked goods. The biscuits, beignets, and other sweets were delicious. I'd definitely come back again for a pastry or dessert. Overall, I just didn't think the food was as good as the price and reputation suggests.
