  • Server was very professional, knowledgeable. Arr on time for a 6:30 reservation made 6 weeks prior. asked for window table - denied although there were several empty tables. NOW, there is a table wait list. nothing more than a ploy for bar business. Seated at an elev booth that was so tight couldn't move. View - of the other side of the booth, with a screeching drunk carrying on just above at the bar. Poor waitress couldn't reach far enough to serve the meal or clear plates. so, we served ourselves basically. 1 drink, 8 scallops, 2 salads = $160 - not so much. the remodel is grey, drab. Had 2 handicap guests. No handicap bathroom on dining floor after remodel. What's that all about! entry benches are new, low modern style for kindergarten kids. Had to assist both seating and rising for handicap. the designer is clueless when it comes to handicap and senior citizens. Across the street, other Mt. Washington restaurant are superior, classy ambience compared to Monterey.
