The Linq is a great new addition to Las Vegas. I was so surprised at how nice it was and how large of an area it has taken over. Basically the Linq area is bordered by Las Vegas Blvd on one side and the High Roller on the other. The High Roller is awesome but if you want to know more about that you should check out the reviews specific to it. So I guess the Quad hotel which I guess used to be the Imperial Palace is now the Linq hotel. Confusing I know, but whatever you call it there is a hotel/casino in there. The street is kinda of like an awesome ally/street/mall type thing and is for pedestrians only. There are bars, restaurants, shops, a bowling ally, all sorts of fun stuff. A good majority of the places are chains but I guess that most people are into that so whatever. There are also plenty of non-chains to choose from if you prefer as I do. It was Halloween time when I went so there were tons of Halloween decorations and festive items along the street. I thought that was cool and showed that they care about the atmosphere. There are also security guard type people milling around making sure you aren't causing more trouble that is allowed in Vegas. So I guess that means you have to kill somebody or something before they mess with you!
