  • I was always skeptical about using Uber because I didn't know where I stood in terms of Toronto's cab situation. I decided to Google a free promo sign up code, which gave me up to $25 off my first cab ride. I signed up and accidentally selected uber X black car. After selecting it, I got a call less than 120 seconds later from the driver , saying where he would be in a minute. The driver picked us up in a 2014 Lexus sedan, and what an amazing experience it was. He was such a friendly and polite man, and an awesome driver in downtown Toronto's horrendous traffic. The back was stocked with cold water bottles, candy, magazines, and phone chargers for the ride. Never have I experienced service like this from the transportation industry. The next day, I realized the promo code did not go through, and I had to email customer service to let them know. They refunded it to my visa within 24 hours without question. Overall, I know where I stand with the Toronto can situation. I fully support Uber, and will continue to use them in the future. I think everyone is getting sick of the horrible customer service and dangerous driving by Toronto cab drivers, and this is how we stand up to them.
