I have to admit that I have been turned off from Microsoft products for a few years bow because of the numerous issues and bugs that they can cause and without proper customer support.
However, with the introduction of the brick and mortar stores and their promise to service any Microsoft product, regardless of the manufacturer, it has made it a lot more appealing to buy their products. Recently, I've purchased two items and they are pretty easy to use. I bought the Nokia Lumia 635 (unlocked) for $99 and the ease of use is amazing. My 60 year old mom (who is switching from a flip phone) picked it up very quickly and she loves it now.
In addition, the Microsoft store is not as packed as the Apple store, which allows for great customer service.
They also have good deals and realize that in the mobile and tablet market, they don't have the same reach as Android and iPhone and are using lower priced products to compensate for it.
All in all, I think we all need to reconsider Microsoft products again as they seem to be making a comeback.
