  • I really miss Fort Funston and parks in the Bay Area where you can go off leash with your dog. I don't know why it took me this long to find this place! I registered my dog, bought a one year dog park permit, and brought my dog. Upon entry, there are 2 double gates that you can walk through, pick up some poop bags and discard poopies in trash cans up front. Immediately there's a large flat place if you want to hang out and have the dogs play with each other. We chose to take the trails around and scout the place out. It was a great walk for all of us-2 legged and 4 legged. There were plenty of friendly people and dogs, but not over crowded for a Monday morning. Around the park, there are additional park benches, small side trails, and trash bins. I'm sure when Spring comes, it will be really scenic! It's a great place to bring your dog for some off leash fun.
