| - My wife and I moved into a new, semi-custom home with a pool in late November of 1997. Although we were recently retired (i.e., retired at age 50), this was our first pool. We didn't realize that it was akin to adopting and raising a child - been there, done that. My wife and I are both engineers and at first, had no problem with performing the weekly maintenance. After about 5 years, key elements of the pool's waterworks begin to wear out as did our enthusiasm for the "care and feeding" of a big hole full of water in our backyard. This is when we got lucky and discovered Splash Pools and Scott Thomas.
Over the years we've engaged Scott and his crew to perform a number of major tasks pertaining to the pool - draining and acid washing, replacing bulbs in underwater lights and maintaining a somewhat complex automated cleaning system. We've never regretted this choice. The work has always been performed in a professional and timely manner at a fair price.
Our pool celebrated its 16th birthday last year, and we decided in early summer to replace all of the equipment (electrical panel, pumps, filters, heater, actuator valves, blowers, and control system) with "state of the art" hardware. Elements of our old system were wearing out and selective replacement and repair was proving to be less than cost effective. Also, we wanted to take advantage of sophisticated, Wi-Fi based controls and multi-speed, energy efficient pumps. The project took about three weeks and is now complete - we couldn't be happier. If you are considering any mechanical and/or electrical work for your pool, give Splash Pool an opportunity to bid the job. I think you'll be happy with the results.
