  • Definitely was not my first choice. We stayed here because of a wedding that we attendedwas at the hotel. First, the staff isn't the friendliest. No one smiles to greet you. No one acknowledges you as a guest.....After traveling all day only to arrive too early for check in, We were forced to wait 2 more hours before we could check in our room. although I mentioned wanting to change clothes, the desk attendant didn't offer any suggestions other than we could take our bags back outside to be held until we checked in. The bag check guy was too busy counting his money to notice us and other guests waiting to give him our bags. Once he acknowledged us, he made a point of saying that the inside and outside bell check guys don't work together. That was code for "I want my own tip." When we were finally able to check in, the line was extremely long. This just wasn't a good customer experience almost from the start. We had the bungalow room which was very old, small and the AC didn't work. I am guessing the bdlg had gone thru a remodel, but the bdlg itself is so old that I am unsure if that was a wise way to do spend the money....maybe tearing the bdlg down was a better choice? We asked to be moved but there were no rooms available. Imagine being in a Vegas and the temp is over 100 degrees? It wasn't a comfortable place to be. The a Beach Cafe restaurant was not good. We had lunch there our first day and breakfast our last day. The food choices were horrible and the preparation was worse. We made sure to eat at other hotels during our stay because we just were not impressed. The casino was convenient. It is small compared to other hotels, but that wasn't a big deal to us. The wedding we attended was in the hotel chapel. It was an old bdlg. Very drab inside and of course hot. The air was not working. the guests were given paper fans to stay cool.... After talking to other wedding guests that stayed at the hotel, most had similar poor experiences. From the quality of the room, to AC not working to AC freezing cold to poor food quality. I didn't meet a single person that enjoyed their stay... I wouldn't recommend staying here. Definitely not the norm for a hilton property.
