| - At one point I might have written a positive review of AltisHR, but now my opinion is mixed. Soon after I signed on with them, I was placed on a short-term contract. It went very well and the client was happy with my work. However, there is no advantage to having a successful contract under your belt. For any more contracts, I must apply like anyone else. I might never hear anything back, even when I've applied to a position that is a good fit and I'm at least worth talking to about it. I've also had AltisHR recruiters ghost in the middle of discussions about particular contracts. From what I've seen, the recruiters are very inexperienced and often don't understand the jobs they are trying to fill. E.g. with one contract, the position required dealing with clients who were "boards of directors". I asked what they were boards of directors of - corporations, charities, hospitals, universities? The recruiter just said "boards of directors" again. My guess is she didn't know. So they get a "meh" rating from me.
Feb 2018 ETA: Got a call from AltisHR about a position. The recruiter *clearly* did not understand the terms she was using, so her attempt to pre-screen me was a joke. She also sounded skeptical about my suitability for the job, even though SHE called ME. She said she would forward my resume to the client but I think they ALWAYS say that, even if they have no intention of doing so. Of course I never heard anything more from her. I'm done with AltisHR and will no longer return their calls.
