What was the most memorable part of this expedition to Halal Guys? Actually it was their hot sauce! Somehow they made it actually kind of hot! I was thankful for that.
Pricing is a bit more than I would have liked it to be. It's $8 plus tax for any of the entrées. There are some solid toppings to add as well: onions, olives, bellpeppers, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato--all making a full spread that can combo off of each other in some way (minus the onions because I feel they overpower the others). I didn't go with any of the regular sauce as I wanted to really sample the gyro and chicken meat as I got a combination in what they strangely call a sandwich. Clearly going for a more deep-pocketed demographic, promoting taste before volume in a competitive market.
Overall: service was solid; portions were small; hot sauce was wonderful; inside was clean--overpriced by $2 for the portion size.
*I'd go back to try a few other items on their menu .*
