| - My girlfriend really got a kick out of the Dog Salon, mostly because it lets the customer get a hands-on experience with the art of grooming an animal. It's more fun than it sounds.
Although the dog salon offers full service grooming (which we observed--and it looked great), we opted for the self-service. For a very reasonable price, we were given a giant sink in which we placed our black lab, and all the special soaps, shampoos and lotions we'd need to wash him down. And wash we did. After he was clean, we used their high-power dryer to, well, dry him. We were in and out in a total of less than fifteen minutes.
Other dogs were there receiving great treatment from the staff--nails filed, hair cleaned, etc. We'll probably go back after particularly muddy/wet walks with our pooch. We'll be happy, but he probably wont be. He hates showering.
