| - A non-pub alternative for something close to Yorkville, but not really.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Not pretentious, but up a level from the usual.
The portions are generous, and the prices are $$. They have a regular dinner selection, with an extensive drink menu.
I've eaten, both inside (during the day) and outside, in the evening. The inside has it's got a library vibe, the last time I was in there, and a touch of pub feeling - if that's what you're going for. Whatever it is, it's got character, but I can tell that it might get stuffy in the air during a busy night. The best is the outdoor patio - although it gets quite loud in the evening. (didn't help that a large group was standing beside us talking.
What would be nice is more lighting in the patio. I could barely see my friend under the umbrella.
My favourite dish here has now gone off the menu (Gorganzola Carbonara or something). The last time I was here, I got a ravioli for $16 that was good, but left me still hungry.
Just wish the price point was a few dollars lower, so that I can come here more often.
