  • The only thing stopping me from giving this place 1 star is the people. Despite the complete chaos, the people have been friendly. The communication in this facility is atrocious, along with the professionalism of its providers. The internal med docs were condescending and rude, and with all the nurses on level 3 you'd think someone would know what's going on. The night shift is awesome but the day shift is a lot of lost sheep with no multi tasking skills. I presented to the ER with severe abdominal pain and after labs and a CT scan, the ER doc said everything looked a little off and would consult with the surgeon (why?). Fast forward a few hours and a female internal med doc pressed on my belly, and told me my labs indicated pancreatitis and I would be admitted overnight for pain control and the surgeon would talk to me in the a.m. (Why) No problem. I spent the night on morphine and slowly feeling better. It's now the evening of night two and no surgeon. A different internal med older male came in and shoved his badge in my face and said I had gastroenteritis from cereal I ate yesterday morning. No. Everyone in my house eats that cereal, it's not "off", and gastroenteritis doesn't have an onset time of 15 minutes. He also tried to convince me they had given me miralax to make me go to the bathroom which didn't happen, and told me he'd get me out of here soon. It's 9pm, and a different nurse told me the surgeon wants to see me in the a.m. again (WHY). 3 nurses have come and seen my IV bag empty and all 3 said they would be right back to fix it. I assume since they are changing the bag the internal med doc meant tmrw as soon. Thank god Im not taking meds anymore and can go home tmrw because it won't be long before someone messes up a dose, and I've still never been told why this elusive surgeon needs to see me in the first place.
