  • With the prospect of buying a new home comes the prospect of making bad decisions. In order to educate myself I decided it would be good if I could watch some home buying shows on cable; with that said, cable company of choice is Shaw Cable. No contract fees, free installation and just 9.95 a month for six months which I can cancel at any time with a 30 day notice. After the six months my basic cable package will cost approximately $36 dollars a month, but I can spend that in a week just by renting movies so this way I can get my home renovating channels and watch movies on cable instead. The telephone service department is spectacular, friendly, informative and reassuring. I waited for the cable guy and he called me before coming, within minutes he was there installed my cable, took my money of course (first month) and off he went. I am as I write watching a home buying channel and getting home inspection advice. Hopefully my small 9.95 a month investment will save me thousands of dollars.
