I was a member with lifetime for two years. The gym is nice but don't be confused with the nice equipment and group classes. The staff, mostly the the crew who sign you up for a membership are fake and looking to make as much money off of you and your fitness goals. They will force personal training on you and bad advice. The trainers are the best part because they are genuinely nice but they are paid way too less compared to the guys trying to play dress up as they take the most out of clients to add to their commission. They make you have a 30 day notice to cancel your membership but it turns in to 2 months reguadless. They will forcefully put your account on hold for $10 a month just so a cancelation doesn't appear on their system. And to cancel that $10 a month takes the same amount of time, at least 30 days. And while you are being forced to pay this extra $10, you can only have online access. No club access is permitted and no weights or equipment online when I checked. Aside from the way the they treat members who want to cancel, they treat the employees the same when they decide to change jobs, even with a notice in advance. This is Phoenix so they're are tons of options beside this very money driven commercial gym. If you are serious about changing your current fitness state, go to another local gym. If you tell them you are wanting to switch from Lifetime, they might give you better rates than if you did not. And their rates are less expensive and unlike lifetime, they do not constantly sneak a rate increase by a dollar or so every 6 months with little notice. I'd recommend Gold's off Dysart myself. I would talk to Erika specifically there. She can get you club access to any Gold's gym nationwide as she did for me with a very comfortable gym price. A variety of multiple gyms is better than being confined to just one. Take a tour, workout there for a day to try it out.
