  • Roofing project with horrible results. I don't know where to begin. First and foremost, our sales consultant JR did not initially inform us that there would be a construction supervisor by the name of Paul. JR informed us that the job would start on a Thursday/Friday and would be finished by the following Monday. Not only was the job not finished by the deadline, but by Sunday the tear down wasn't completed. My yard was strewn with old shingles and nails. 3 days after missing the deadline I called JR to voice my disdain, I was informed by him that Paul was the construction supervisor. I had not met Paul nor had he introduced himself prior to me voicing my displeasure. I felt it necessary to document my issues with the project. I informed Paul I had concerns with: the installer failed to cut a ridge vent; the soffit vents seemed haphazardly placed; the installer failed to remove stickers on the insider of the soffit grills (restricting air flow); soffit vent screws were stripped (making removal difficult); installer's vehicle spilled oil all over my driveway; missed completion deadline. Paul assured me that the installer would be "fired." He agreed that the issues were numerous and that Home Depot would no longer do business with that installer. He also told me he would send me $100 for my troubles. Imagine my surprise when the same installer comes back to my home and asks me why I asked for him to not come back. I told the installer that I was not happy with false promises, the missing ridge vent, the soffit vents, and the spilled oil all over my drive way. The installer did finally cut a ridge vent, someone did fix the screws on the soffit vents, and the installer tried to power wash the oil spots with terrible results. Overall, I am not happy. Had I not inspected my roof, I would have never discovered that there was no vent cut. JR had informed me that the shingle manufacturer would not warranty the shingles without a ridge vent. I am unsure if Paul or JR have returned to my home to inspect the work. I paid a premium with Home Depot for the piece of mind that my project would be handled with pride. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company to anyone.
