  • I always hate to give a bad review. I feel bad for the restaurant but, I feel like its my duty to warn others. We are locals who LOVE steaks. We go at least once or twice a month. We've always said... "One of these days we're going to the Golden Ox". On a cold day in January that day happened. Hubby, 16 year-old son & me headed to the Golden Ox. We'll never go back. What drew us in was the Old Vegas history. On that front The Ox measured up. It's dark, red leather booths & staff that have probably been there since The Rat Pack frequented the joint. The Food; my steak was lukewarm, and just missing something. We all agreed, the steaks were sub par. The potatoes weren't even good. How do you mess up a baked potato?? We ordered garlic bread & even that was blech!! Bottom line; we won't be coming back. We'll stick with our favorite, Circus Circus Steakhouse. That's right Circus Circus... Well known locals secret.
