| - I didn't think that organic produce at a Farmer's Market was affordable, but I was wrong. I've been wanting to visit for a very very long time. Now that we live closer to DT, it's easier to make it here. Located near Gap. Free samples!
Besides the Ron's Organic Market- located in the middle of the Farmer's Market- (vegetables like jalapeno peppers, broccoli, eggplant, carrots (HUGE), asparagus ($5.00 for the bundle, nice), fruits like tangerines, persimmons, asian pears, both colors of grapes (big)---there were so much more- the majority of the pricing was either $2.00 or $2.50 a pound, just relying on my memory); one pay station, and you could get a text receipt, which gets stored, there were unique hand crafted items like knitted beanies, candles, pet treats.
Other food goods were: baked ( incl. gluten free and vegan), honey, spices, Brazilian goods, hummus. Other specialty items include gemstone jewelry, silver jewelry, and pet accessories.
I purchased fruits & veggies, and my haul was $11.00, which I didn't think was bad for organic goods. (Often times, I will check out the organic section in large supermarkets, and I don't like what I see- they look lifeless, smashed, small, and not suitable to eat, so I usually pass on buying them, because it's not worth it. Not the case here!)
