| - From entering on ground level to taking the elevator up it feels as though you're begging transported to Paris, France . Right when the doors open you see the kitchen and get to smell all the wonderful aromas. This date for me was a surprise fancy date, I was told to look very fancy. I wore a very fancy dress and he wore a suit. We blended it quite well with everyone.
My boyfriend planned all of this ahead of time, which I would suggest to do, because to reserve a window table (which we did) it was $100. The view was beautiful. The fountains went off every 30min. Before our appetizer they gave us a sample of the soup of the day, it was celery something... It was so yummy! We ordered the escargot (I was expecting garlic and butter, but the escargot has more of a cream flavor, different but still good).
In between our app and our meal at 5pm (when the fountains were going off) my boyfriend became my fiancé. Yes, he proposed! There was a waitress taking photos of the big moment! She captured all of the wonderful surprised reactions I had and all the love we share. I am so happy he found someone to get a photo of that moment.
My sister called ahead for a bottle of champagne for our big moment, which they poured and kept cold for us.
Our meal came after, I ordered the duck (medium rare) and he ordered the stake (rare). Both cooked to perfection and delicious!
We also ordered the crème brûlée OMG SO GOOD! If I could eat that once a week I would!
The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is quiet and polite and the view is something I'll never forget.
