| - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Recommended! No real surprise, given this shop has nothing BUT five-star reviews!
My visit was prompted by my need for some minor work, a shop that would have the equipment to align my headlights. I picked this shop since I saw online they had TWO frame machines. These days, being set up for frame work is a million dollar investment. So that tells me this is a major operation in the Valley. And that could only be because they are very, very good at what they do. And it told me that, if any shop did, they would have the headlight alignment equipment on-hand.
I met with Mike about that briefly on a recent weekday. Mike is very likeable and it was clear even from my brief visit, very knowledgeable. Mike assured me that, really, attention to detail during the manual adjusting is far more important (than having bode fide equipment) toward getting headlights properly aligned, and so they don't tend to use it. He asked me to return early Saturday morning, presumably when the shop wasn't swamped with a queue of major work to get out the garage doors on schedule.
On Saturday morning, Mike took my keys and directed me to the coffee & snacks. The waiting area is nicely appointed and the staff manning it were friendly and personable. He returned my car to me in less than 15 minutes! He said it really wasn't that much to do ... and so there would be no charge! I really felt bad leaving have received labor but no bill. Really. That just didn't feel right. But he (and his family members who were also in the front-of-house at the time) were quite insistent upon it. (Mike also firmly refused a tip.) I can only suppose this was seen as a trivial piece of work ... compared to the tremendous amount of major body & paint work that is flowing through this massive operations (there's four or five buildings, at least, that comprise LVCC).
Comped, with no action on the table! Now THAT deserves a five-star Yelp review, eh?
CONCLUSIONS: I just had a bunch of body & paint work done elsewhere (to my satisfaction) ... but I wouldn't hesitate to come back to LVCC to evaluate any such work I might have in the future.
You shouldn't either.
