Classic bait and switch! Showcase Honda had posted a Honda Odyssey on their website and was also available through the truecar buying experience. I called to verify the vehicle was on the lot through the dealership as well as verified through the truecar buying service. Both agents that called back verified the car was on the lot and I scheduled visiting the vehicle later that day. I drove across the valley to see that specific vehicle and when I arrived, I was shuffled between 4 agents until the last guy finally offered to help. He took down our information and walked us outside to look at the vehicle. He first showed us the managers special (not close to what we wanted) and another that was listed 8k over our budget. The managers special had trim molding falling off and wouldn't even start. They needed to jump it to even get it out of the parking space. When I said I came for the specific vehicle I called about he told me that it had sold 2 days prior. They kept pushing other vehicles saying they wanted to make a deal and I was nothing but upset at the shady business practices they were performing. It would have been a simple answer of "sorry that vehicle has been purchased, we have others if you are interested" at which point I wouldn't have needed to drive 40 miles to see a vehicle that wasn't even there. If you are planning to purchase from them, be sure they send a picture of the vehicle to ensure it is on the lot. Better yet, purchase elsewhere.
