  • This probably has to be the best European bakery above East 50th Street. Very reminiscent of the handmade baked goods I ate in Zürich last time I visited. The interior is very minimal and brutalist. There's about 20 square feet of walking space, but you get full view of their daily offerings. It changes throughout the week, so you can probably see a bit of variation in their stock on Wednesday versus Saturday. The quality is absurdly high, and for such a low price! Some of my favorites include the ham & swiss croissant (offered usually earlier in the week), the pepperoni bread (shows up later in the week), and the Oktoberfest pretzel is next on my list (it's a giant, authentic looking bretzel for $6). If this place wasn't located so far back from Cedar, it would probably be packed every day. It's definitely one of the best bites of food I've had during my time in Cleveland.
