Recent first time visitor to Iron City, and was impressed by the bus system. The extra $1 above the base fare to buy a transfer (good for a 3-hour window) is a very useful addition for onward connections. Pittsburgh is one hilly city and taxis are inconsistent so the buses are a Godsend for the pedestrian. Google transit to find your route, and download the schedule from the Port Authority website. My one suggestion is for a simple downtown map showing stops and main routes from downtown to Oakland, North side, & South side - don't bother with the P1 or busway routes, as these serve the outer neighborhoods & are not for tourists.
