| - My friends and I came here on a Saturday night for dinner based off recommendations, and I was super excited to try this place for the first time.
It was a Saturday night so it was naturally a little more busy than usual. My friend and I split the appetizer Truffle Fries ($9). They came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The fries were crisp and delicious with the garlic ranch sauce that came on the side. My friend and I also ordered the Wood-Fyred Mixed Grille Special ($29) which would've came with a sirloin, herb chicken, and BBQ ribs. When one of the waiters came out with with "our plate", we noticed it didn't have the steak, only the BBQ ribs and herb chicken. We thought the waiter would just bring the steak out separately, but then a couple of minutes after we had dug into our meal, the waiter came out and explained that they had a mix up and we actually received a different order; the BBQ Ribs & Herb Rotisserie Chicken ($25). The waiter said she could bring it back to the kitchen to get us our original order, but my friend and I just decided to keep the plate we already had. The ribs were tender and moist with pretty good BBQ sauce, and the herb chicken was well seasoned. There was also a side of coleslaw and fries which I appreciated.
In addition to this first mix up, one of the waiters brought out a plate for my other friend that was NOT at all what he had ordered. Apologizing once more, the waiter had switched up the orders.
When we got our checks, we noticed that one of our other friends got charged for a drink he did not buy so we also had to clear that mix-up with the waiter too.
All in all, the food at Bonfyre was pretty good; however, for the amount of money I spent, I hoped for better service. I know it was a busy day for the restaurant, but I was expecting something a little more from this place. Maybe I just came on an off-day, but I do hope I will have a better experience on my next visit to Bonfyre Grille.
