| - I know that the Phoenix, VA is understaffed, but treating my dad for the past 20+ years was good, and they did what they could.
The Northwest VA clinic on the other hand, is dangerous.
I can only speak of one nurse and one doctor, who ignorantly refused to refill meds when I ran out inadvertently while visiting here. Told them it's for off label use. They refused and literally walked me out of the building. After explaining my story to the advocacey center at the main phoenix VA. I was told that both the doctor and nurse would receive extra and remedial education to ensure it does not happen again. Bottom line, their seems to be some incompetent medical care here, i'm sure not all doc's, staff, and nurses are, but the few I've met are dangerous, the majority are awesome, and former vets and I hear even volunteers, but not long ago I was refused the flu vacc by a nurse a real RN and the other RN over heard and warned her of refusing, she continued and the other nurse had to administer the shot and replace her. This is the type of medical personel I have had the unplesant experience with, and anti-vaccer in the medical field as a nurse I think is rediculous that vets or anyone have to put up with this type of unsafe behavior.
