About a week ago, I emailed Chapters Online to ask when I could expect to receive a book I ordered 4 weeks ago. It was still listed on their website as "ships within 1-2 weeks" so I figured it must be on its way, right?
But the reply to my email was "order cancelled as per your request". What?? I didn't cancel it - I just want to know where it is !
This is maybe the millionth time Chapters Online has done this to me: cancel my order regardless of what my question is. **
Very annoying.
When I phoned to speak to a live human, he didn't understand why it was cancelled either. But rather than resubmit my order and go through this again in another month's time, I just said forget it.
**p.s. this happens with items listed as 'in stock' as well. And it almost always involves a book or product that is offered at an incredibly good discount.
Hmmmm... suspicious, non?
