| - I just purchased glasses from Target Optical. I am thoroughly unimpressed with the quality and the service. The first time I went I had a young man help me, was helpful in picking out the frames, however, didn't even describe the type of lenses available to me. It wasn't until I was out of the store reading about lenses online that I discovered there were 2 other options for lenses. I called and asked why I hadn't been told, they stated "maybe you're script isn't available in those lenses" my script is not incredible strong -3.5 in on eye and -3.75 in the other with minor corrections for astigmatism, so I find this incredibly hard to believe, and they, in fact, did offer both of the other lens options in my prescription. I decided to leave the order alone and see after wearing them for a while, if wanted to change to the lenses that promised clearer vision. I picked my glasses up last night, the person who helped me basically just handed me my glasses and said "here you go" no real check to make sure they fit properly (which they don't, because the arms haven't been bent) further, when I got home and took a really close look at them, one of the lenses is not seated properly. It is not in the groove cut out to hold the lenses in the frame and it is sticking out the front of the frames. I tried to push it back in, thinking it just wasn't put in properly, it doesn't even fit in the frame! the lens has clearly been cut wrong, and is to wide, so there is no way to get it to actually fit in the frame. I will be taking these glasses back this weekend, I very well may keep the frame, because I do like it, but go somewhere else for the lenses. I'm not sure how no one, from the time the lenses were cut, to when the arrived back in the store, notice that one of the lenses is falling out. Glasses are not cheap, if I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars for a product, I expect the item to, at the very least, be looked over for quality before I'm called to say they are ready.
