The pharmacy does not check stock before excepting prescriptions, so if your medication is not in stock you might not be told. There is also a very high likelihood that you will not get it by the day or time promised. There is a Walmart pharmacy just down the street that is well staffed and well run. Walgreens transferred my prescription to their location from another pharmacy that was out of stock because I needed it that day. When I came to pick it up, they checked on it and told me it was in process. I sat down and waited for an hour and 15 minutes, stood in line to check with them on its progress and was only then as they were also out of stock and would not get it until the next day. When I came the next day, after the time that they said they would have it, they didn't have enough staff members to retrieve it from the shipment so they told me that it might be ready about 3 1/2 hours later, maybe. They often seem to be understaffed and at all three visits, I waited at least 15 minutes in line to speak with someone. This is not the place to go for prescriptions.
