I signed up for yelp specifically to note my discontent and anger with Park to Shop. I used to shop there regularly along with another asian grocery store but their practices are repulsive. I didn't mind them at first since they were one of the clean stores in Cleveland, and they did have a good variety of items and decent pricing even though their staff were not quite helpful.
The main reason for this review was that I was shopping there earlier last week and saw health inspectors walking around and looking quite intently at their products. I thought this was just a routine check up. When I went back a few days later again, the health department was there. To my surprise and curiosity I asked one of the inspectors of what was going on and they told me Park to Shop was investigated and found out to be deliberately selling expired and out of date products at this location. To my surprise this is UNETHICAL, DISGUSTING, and REPULSIVE. How can a business consciously sell bad products to the public and for god knows how long.
I saw previous reviews of their products being expired and having bugs but thought that they were just unlucky to miss those products, but with this event coming to light it shows that this practice has been going on for awhile without the consumers' knowledge and that those incidents weren't isolated or unlucky. I am forever staying away from Park to Shop and hope they get everything coming to them from the city. I hope the health department throws the book at them for this dishonesty, and horrible practice. WHAT A DISGRACEFUL BUSINESS!
