| - BUYER BEWARE; Recently my daughter, future son in law and i were involved in ordering their wedding cake & 10 dozen wedding cupcakes. We paid for delivery & set up. Delivery time was set up for 4:00 pm. That way the groom could be at the facility when the cakes & DJ arrived (private home). They arrived before 3:30 pm. The cake & cupcakes were not set up on the tables as requested and detailed at the time they were ordered, but they were put in a casita that was being used for other things. She said she was told to put them there, but the instructions says otherwise and they did have phones to call and ask if needed. Once we realized the situation, several of us incl. wedding guests help put everything out on the tables. When the Bride & Groom went to cut the cake during that part of the ceremony, the 6 inch cake was FROZEN. Could not even scrape enough cake out to exchange with each other, I mean frozen !!!!!
I later called the owner Tina and she first said she closed the shop at 3:30 because they had 4 big weddings to deliver, when I told her my son in law had a text from the homeowner at 3:24, she said she closed the store at 3:08. She said the cakes are not frozen and said the fondant is hard to cut thru and that must be the problem, i explained it was not the issue. The cake was frozen. She said when he has had problems before she has offered to make a cake on their anniversary, i explained a year away.. No thank you. she said that is it. The conversation ending with that is my offer. Her go to was making a cake 12 months away, wonder how many of those are every processed...... Buyer beware....
Tina said the contract says set up before 4 pm, we never received a copy of any contract and THAT DOES NOT EXPLAIN THE FROZEN 6 inch CAKE.
STILL HOPING FOR A RESOLUTION, WILL UPDATE.
